Nikolas tavern Mykonos is a real family business that was founded in 1967 by Nicholas Dachtilidis and his wife, Katerina, and passed into the hands of their daughter and grandson. Three generations work here and with a great deal of care they manage to always include the freshest ingredients in their dishes. The son of the family goes fishing with the small fishing boat, the grandmother prepares the bread early in the morning and the vegetables and fruits are collected daily from their organic garden near the airport.
The eatery is located on the beach of Agia Anna near Paraga and operates from 10am to 10pm offering quality homemade food for lunch or dinner. Nikolas tavern Mykonos is a bit farther from the row of beach bars and restaurants and is ideal for those who want to enjoy traditional Greek cuisine in a quiet environment by the sea, under the shade of the trees and their feet on the soft sand.
The décor is simple and the atmosphere is friendly. A large shed with a tiled floor hosts some of the tables, while the rest are laid out on the sand, under the trees around the shed. There are also some sun loungers and umbrellas right next to the sea for those who want to swim in the crystal clear waters of the small bay.
The site can accommodate up to 220 people and is also available for events. Nikolas tavern Mykonos has its own, family chapel next to it which can host religious sacraments like a wedding or a baptism.
The menu includes fresh fish and seafood, grilled meat and homemade appetizers. Try traditional dishes like moussaka or stuffed vegetables and accompany them with a good Greek wine, ouzo or tsipouro.
