Appaloosa Mykonos is located in the center of Mykonos town, on the beautiful and picturesque square of Goumenio, just above Matogiannia area. The square offers a unique landscape where art galleries and various restaurants are cramped in the narrow, traditional alleys.
Appaloosa Mykonos is a small ethnic restaurant with flavors from Greece, India, Mexico and Indonesia. It was founded in 1997 and remains open all year round. It operates daily from 7:30 pm until 1 am and offers a happy hour with reduced prices on food and drinks. It is an ideal destination for those who love international tastes, colorful decoration and ethnic music.
The space at Appaloosa Mykonos is limited, both on the inside and on the outdoor terrace. It is recommended to make a reservation, especially for the few tables on the terrace – but even if you cannot find a free table on arrival, you may enjoy a glass of the wonderful sangria while waiting at the bar.
The decoration is purely ethnic with earth color contrasts on the walls, arches, distinctive lighting, wood and colorful objects from other cultures. The music is ethnic, jazz, soul and funk and sometimes live with small bands.
Appaloosa Mykonos offers dinner, small meals and fast food. The wine list is limited but good and the cocktails are rich, refreshing and exotic. For your main course try the chicken with asparagus and champagne and for a dessert the homemade cheese cake with local tirovolia cheese.
